ChatGPT and Generative AI for the Institute of World Languages (IWL)
 

Generative AI such as ChatGPT is the latest major technological shift to affect higher education. In this conversation we will pose questions and discuss topics specific to language learning. We welcome those who are familiar with these technologies as well as those who are curious (and/or suspicious!)

To get the conversation started, we asked ChatGPT to articulate its use in this context, and it responded thusly:
