How to Support and Strengthen Student Motivation in Russian Language Classes?
A Round Table Presentation by Instructors of the Slavic Department.

Lilia Travisano, Russian

It's no secret that the difficulties associated with studying such challenging languages as Russian sometimes weaken the students' desire to continue to learn the language. Some students, especially in their second year of studying the language, as well as in their first and sometimes their third year of Russian, feel fatigued and want to quit. Maintaining their motivation at a high level is one of the challenges that our young instructors face. The Slavic Department's graduate students will share their experience and expertise in this area.
