Grants for Funded Groups Awarded

Two groups have received funding from the IWL to pursue their projects this spring. Francesca Calamita (Italian, WGS), Yoon Hwa Choi (Korean), Rachel Geer (French), Stella Mattioli (Italian), and Anne Rotich (Swahili) will be focusing on “Teaching World Languages with Gender, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion,” and Esther Poveda (Spanish), Karen James (French), Mieko Kawai (Japanese), Emily Scida (LDT), and Liz Hall (French) will be working on developing a plan for “Languages Across the Curriculum” at UVA.
