Eight essentials for TBLT curriculum and pedagogy

Task-based language teaching places student-centered communication at the heart of the curriculum and pedagogy. For over two decades, it has evolved into a multidimensional embodiment of the original approach. This presentation highlights eight essentials for activating and empowering a language class guided by a task-based or task-supported language teaching curriculum. The presenter will illustrate each principle with empirically tested tasks that have been successfully implemented in class and invite attendees to share and reflect on their own experience in task design and implementation.
