Collecting data from several semesters via student surveys, reflections, and interviews it can be see that using the active learning classrooms for Spanish grammar classes helps promote student-centered learning, participation, collaboration, and responsibility while fostering an environment, which reduces student affect and encourages students to try out new structures. This session will focus on how the active learning classroom is used to promote student participation and engagement.
